Privacy Policy — iOS

Morning View for iPhone · Effective July 9, 2026

Morning View is built to be glanced at, not to watch you. The iPhone companion app collects as little as possible, keeps it on your device wherever it can, and never sells or shares your data with advertisers.

What the app uses

Calendars. With your permission, Morning View reads events from the calendars you select to show your schedule. Event data is processed on your device and synced to your Apple TV via your personal iCloud account. We never receive it on our servers.

Location. With your permission, your home and work locations are used to fetch weather and estimate drive times. Location is sent to our weather and traffic providers as coordinates only — never linked to your name or email.

Photos. If you choose photo backgrounds (Pro), the photos you pick stay in your iCloud Photo Library. We never upload or view them.

Email address. Only if you sign up for updates or create a Pro account. Used for that purpose alone.

What we don't do

No ads, no ad tracking, no data brokers, no selling or renting your information. We don't build profiles of you, and we don't collect analytics that identify you — only anonymous, aggregated crash and performance reports, which you can turn off in Settings.

Purchases

Morning View Pro is billed through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.

Your choices

Every permission (calendars, location, photos) is optional and revocable in iOS Settings at any time — the app degrades gracefully without them. You can delete your Pro account and any server-side data from Settings → Account, or by emailing us.

Privacy Policy — tvOS

Morning View for Apple TV · Effective July 9, 2026

Morning View on Apple TV is a display for your morning — it shows information, it doesn't gather it. The TV app has no sign-in of its own, no camera, no microphone use, and no ad tracking.

What the app uses

Synced dashboard data. Calendars, drive times, countdowns, and household profiles arrive from the iPhone companion app via your personal iCloud account. They're shown on screen and cached on the device — never sent to our servers.

Weather & traffic. The app fetches conditions and drive times from our providers using the locations you configured on iPhone, as coordinates only — never linked to your identity.

News. Top Stories are fetched anonymously from our news provider. Your reading isn't tracked; headlines are the same for everyone in your region.

Photo backgrounds (Pro). Streamed from your iCloud Photo Library directly to the device. We never receive them.

A shared screen, treated that way

Because a TV is visible to everyone in the room, Morning View shows only what you've chosen to display. You control which calendars, people, and cards appear on the dashboard, per household member, from the iPhone app or the TV's Settings screen.

What we don't do

No ads, no ad tracking, no data brokers, no selling or renting your information. The only telemetry is anonymous, aggregated crash and performance reporting, which you can turn off in Settings.

Purchases

Morning View Pro is billed through the App Store and shared with the iPhone app via Family Sharing where enabled. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

By using Morning View, you agree to these terms.

You own your data. We don't sell it, track you, or use it for anything besides showing you your calendar and weather.

We may update this app anytime. Features may change. If you don't like an update, you can delete the app.

Morning View is provided as-is. We're not liable if the weather forecast is wrong, traffic data is inaccurate, or your calendar doesn't sync on a given day. These are third-party services (Google, Apple, OpenWeatherMap) — if they break, that's not us.

If you find a bug, email privacy@morningview.app. We're one person and we fix what we can.

That's it.

Morning View Support

Got a question? Morning View is built by one person who actually uses it every morning. If something breaks, I read every email and fix what I can.

  • Unlimited profiles (add everyone in your household)
  • One drive time per person (see everyone's commute at a glance)
  • Week and month calendar views (zoom out and see the full picture)
  • Countdown feature (tag events with #countdown and watch the days tick down)
  • Photo backgrounds (rotate through your Apple TV photo library)
  • Full Reminders integration (coming soon)

Monthly: $2.99/month. Annual: $24.99/year (about $2.08/month, 30% savings). Free trial: 7 days — try everything, cancel anytime.

If you live with other people and want to see everyone's schedule on one screen, Pro is worth it. If you're the only person using Morning View, the free tier is plenty.
